is global lingua franca designed to enable people around the planet to
communicate clearly and accurately without learning unnecessary
complicated grammar and memorizing irregular spellings of thousands of
words. Peoplese is English simplified, regularized, clarified, updated,
plus additions of numerous learner-friend devices from Chinese,
Spanish, Finnish, and several other languages, along with clear
guidelines for forming new words that will ultimately further simplify

Thus, Peoplese is a humanitarian lingua franca aimed at greatly lightening the memorization load of children, and providing access to the benefits of knowing an international language for adults too busy to spend years learning a language. As a global lingua franca, Peoplese is a language infrastructure -- not a one-size-fits-all language -- thereby opening the door to cultural variation. For example, Chinese Peoplese may contain less noun-articles ("a", "an", and "the", non-existent in their language), which Europeans would be in the habit of inserting. Therefore there is no "wrong" Peoplese, so you cannot make a mistake -- which eliminates a major impediment to learning a language not your own. Creative writers are encouraged to put their ethnic stamp on their species' language. Yet, for progessionals, Peoplese does have clearly defined guidelines (articulated on the Grammar page) enabling exactitude necessary for government, law, science, high-level commerce, medicine, technology, aviation, and so on. Peoplese vocabulary, based mainly on English words, consists of root-words to which are added fixed-meaning prefixes and suffixes (separated by a half-length hyphen). Spell۔ing of root-words never changes. Peoplese uses completely regular spelling, only two irregular verbs, no irregular plurals, no silent letters, hyphenated prefixes and suffixes with unique fixed meanings, self-explanatory autoknow words, both familiar and formal pronouns, unlimited derivative possibilities, gender-specific function nouns, consistent and logical punctuation, simplified grammar, a revamping of European-centered geopolitical names, native names for most nations, and logical, consistent geographical names based on satellite mapping -- among numerous other features. Designed especially for non-native English speakers, intuitive and unambiguous Peoplese, with many hundreds fewer vocabulary words and only two (instead of thousands) irregular derivatives to memorize, is much easier to learn than any existing major language. Unlike increasingly chaotic English, Peoplese is designed to self-improve with age. Guidelines for creating new words are herein provided. Success depends on Peoplese speakers passing on the good but not the bad. The good is intuitive, pleasant sounding, and requires no or little memorization. Peoplese has two spelling systems. Peoplese Alike English version retains English spelling while using Peoplese structure. Alike English is the training version of pure Peoplese,the Sound Spell Same (SSS) version which is based on English but with a few changes. In pure Peoplese, if you hear a word, you know how to spell it, and if you read a word you know how to pronounce it. Thus, no time spent learning how to spell words. (Details on Spelling page.) Standard Peoplese pronunciation uses English alphabet sounds, although with a French “j” and slightly rolled Spanish “r”. But, as currently with English, people from different ethnicities will speak Peoplese with sounds from their own languages. The best Peoplese will imitate Brazilian Portuguese "fala cantando", a singsong way of speaking sentences. Peoplese, as a species language, is for all people. Temporary default international language English effectively locks out the huge portion of humanity that does not have the time and resources for their children to attend ten or more school years learning a non-native language. Peoplese, by contrast, can be learned to travel fluency level within months: in the time required to learn 200 root words plus a few prefixes and suffices (most words borrowed from English language, and put them together using your native language's grammar. Market-level Peoplese can be learned in days or weeks. This website is translated into major languages from which the vast majority of the world’s people can learn Peoplese. Why is Peoplese so quick and easy to learn and remember? Many reasons, all presented on this website, outlined in the Overview section, but here two are summarized. (1) Peoplese has more than 1,500 autoknow words. Autoknow words are typically composed of two common words separated by a mid-dot (a mid-level period). If you know both common words within the autoknow word, you automatically know the meaning of the word. For example, “wrist·clock”. If you know “wrist” and “clock”, you know the meaning of wrist·clock, even if you never previously encoutnered it; ten years later, you will still know it. English speakers, contrarily, must memorize that “watch” means, beside “look at something in motion”, “a small clock strapped on a wrist”, and when they hear or read the word must distinguish it by context from it’s other meaning. Autoknow examples: bread·bun (roll), dance·pub (disco), float·vest (life jacket), jail·van (paddy wagon), log·canoe (dugout), planet·around (worldwide), sound·boost۔or (microphone). Many autoknow words are identical to English two-word combinations (which in English are sometimes, separate word, sometimes separated by a hyphen, sometimes with no separation – difference which in English must be memorized, but in Peoplese are separated by a mid·dot. Tow truck, towtruck or tow-truck – do you remember which? In Peoplese, tow·truck – no memorization required. Autoknow words are ideal for naming all the new things that our changing world is bringing us – rather than, as in English, adding another word to a vocabulary of hundreds of thousands of words. How long would it take you to learn 1,500 words so well that, if you haven’t heard or read them years later, you would still remember them? How much money would it cost the government or private schools or tutors to teach you? (2) Peoplese is formed of root words which never change spelling, and are clearly separated from prefixes and suffixes by a half-length hyphen called “hyphnette”. For example, “re۔tell۔d”, meaning "told again". The prefix “re” followed by a hyphnette means “again”. Hyphnette plus “d” converts any verb to past tense. The root-word "tell" stands out, never changes. Why do we need Peoplese? Firstly, for our children. Middle-school graduates in native English-speaking nations, for example, have been forced to memorize the irregular spellings of more than 3,500 words, and to arrange words with overly complex grammar, strictly enforced. A billion chidren around the planet are attempting the same task. Mass-torture. Needless. Peoplese is much simpler, much more quickly learned, no spelling memorization required -- yet fully comprehendable to English speakers. Playtime instead.
